im a newbie on minimoto stuff ive just entered this as a member and if also

baught a minimoto about 2 months ago. its a repsol racing replica minimoto.

ive tuned it up as much as i could. ive got a new engine in it a new exhaust

new air filter new fuel filter etc.... i just really wanted to know why mine hasn't

got a radiator on it. it might be a silly question but is it because its a different

type??? i really dont know.

it hasnt got a radiator as radiators are hevey when filled wif water and i bet urs goes a damn site faster than the boys carrying a litre of water - go for it m8

cos ders a radiater in front of the engine , and cools da water that then flows through the engine water jacket, cooling da engine.

That doesn;t matter.....


So, is your bike a watercooled minimoto? If so, it should have a water pump and radiator, otherwise it would defeat the purpose of having a w/c bike if you have no radiator as, as soon as the water heats up, it will not be able to cool.

And air cooled minimoto's do not have radiator as they are cooled by the flow of air through the bike, that's why is has the fins on the barrel as the heat escapes from there into the air.

A water cooled minimoto's barrel has a waterjacket, between the barrel and the waterjacket is where the water flows through, the water takes up the heat and then is pumped into the radiator where the air takes the heat from the radiator.

water cooled bikes has a radieter and air cooled does not if it is a water cooled bike it should have a radieter
