I have got a replica air cooled mini moto. Recently I have had a lot of problems with it, running ok for about 2 mins and then chucgging and diying. Then It will start and then die. I have recently changed the reeds, new plug, cleaned the carb, god knows how many times. Replaced some gaskets. Any ideas???

The ring is fine, but it was one of those old ones that restricted the flow of air getting into the carb. So I modified it a bit. But it doesn't seem to seal properly. But it seems to be running ok now. The fuel switch rubber had moved, a bit, is there anyway to bypass this, and the fuel going straight into the carb????

I think it could be fuel aswell.
Try a pipe from the tank (fuel) straight into the carb without going through a tap or a filter.
Easy done and worth a try
Good luck mmcwales/smilie_e_32.gif

cool.gif next time it does it ,take the plug outand see if its wet or dry ???? if its wet you might have a fault with the cdi unit!! It gives the same symptoms as a fuel fault......they start ok but when the unit starts to get warm it breaks down and causes miss fire farting etc mmcwales/smilie_h_32.gif
