Hey guys..

There is Whilton mill round 2 of the winter series this weekend.

I believe its saturday practice/qualifying and sunday race day.

Snack bar and plenty of spares for sale.

metmachex are showing off the new mmr 08 bike also.

Fee's are similar to the british est 55-60 for the weekend.

I know so far me dad andrew and little mark are going up for the weekend from the welsh lot. Anyone else up for it? Could even use saturday as a practice and not race on the sunday.

James, Haven't been before but may be going up to collect a bike and am hoping to have a go while I'm there. I am not up for racing (only been on track 3 times)so would just try and get on for the Sat. Checked out the phoenix web site and have a phone number to try tomorrow. Looks like you need a back protector, do you know if this applies to the practice as well as the racing and any idea of the cost? I have a crude one in the leathers do you reckon it counts!
I'll give it a miss if you have to pay for the 2 days.
If it comes off, may be able to give someone a lift from Newport if anyone is stuck for one.

Glad you up for going, a great outdoor track, I think the saturday (practice) will be £35 for each rider.

As for the backprotector seniors 16+ dont need a back protector to to race/ practice under the rules im sure. As for junor is concerned i think he will be ok for the saturday, because you arnt racing. Altgough not 100% sure. Best thing is to get your son one, as it is a must for the juniors saftey. You can buy one from the minimoto dealer vans who will be at the track on the weekend.

Cheers James, probably going up on my own at the moment. I'll have a look at the track and see how wet it is, the bike I'm looking at only has slicks so will probably take another just in case.
Forcast loks like a few scattered showers so may be OK certainly doesn't look like rain all day. I will be up there for 8AM ish in a silver Audi A4. If anyone wants a lift let me know.

Glad Sat was dry but how cold was it!
Have ordered some jets, so going to try Hully on Sunday morning to give it a run.

Had two 2nd's out of the 3 races, missed out on one race because we spent 3 hrs trying to find out a problem with my bike, turns out a seal went in the engien and i needed a new coil

awsum weekend, me dad andrew and mark stayed in a lodge over night chilled out down the pub in the warm freezing though at the track! im ill now lol
