hi people i just but my bike back together ie, fairing chain wheels etc and i had it on tickover for a bout 3 minutes and there was a loy of heat and the chain was really hot is this normal??? and when i revved it up it sounded like the clutch was wineing dnt think i noticed it before any thoughts what it could be ??

put some chain lube on the chain or some 2 stroke oil like some of us do to stop it frm geting warm and ceecin

and is there any water in the water bottle if it has 1 cuase tht wud help if there was and i duno about the clutch

you cant keep the bike reving standing still it has to be running, so its constnat air flow to cool the engein hense "air cooled"

as said lube the chain and also make sure the Rear sproket and the front sproket are inline. check this by standing directly behind the chain at eye level and casting you eye along the top of the chain. if it looks straight all good and well if it looks like its turning right you need to move the off side "Right"chain ajuster towards the rear of the bike untill it looks straight.

then check the tension on the chain as it will go slack or tight be sure to check this.

and then vice versa if it looks like its turning left.

don't rely on the grooves or notches where the ajusters are they not accurate enough always use the good old eye...
