James, have a quick recovery mate!
At least it happened at the end and you had virtually the full day.
Great track but well slippy in the wet, we counted about 6 juniors down within about 30 secs of the rain starting, there were yellow flags everywhere you looked.
Lee (Saunders) that little black 911 (with Polini engine) went OK all day mate. Cheers Scotty
ahh unlucky james quik recovery though m8
wat u do 2 the 911 scotty was it just a new plug like i said ?
Nice to meet you guys hope to see alot more of ya in 2008, whilton nice and slippy in the wet for sure, awsome track tho, you like it Scotty?
Yeah, had a wicked day its a great track.
First time outdoors I'd actually managed to run with or overtake anyone and managed to find one or two guys lapping about the same pace.
Cheers for the comments you lot seem like a great bunch, we'll be about next time.Get that super sorted out!!
Cheers Scotty
PS Adam I didn't bother with the CAG motor as there was a spare Polini engine there. Took a while to sort though, I think it was down to the carb I had wasn't sealing to the manifold (no seal inside) causing it to rev out of control (sucking air and running weak) either that or the jet MMR suggested was too big. Swapped the carb from another 6.2 and it ran fine all day. Fairing bolts are a nightmare, there's just too many and some are awkward as hell.
Yea i know, new plug, diff coil, changed jets. still same.
Got new reeds, although they look fine, might even change the seals just in case as the flywheel side looks like the seal has been sucked in a little on on the bottom, so i got main bearings aswell just as well do them and a new piston ring.
and then go from there with the super.
The 4.2 trying to find out if it needs a chrome ring or a std 1, nightmare, thats then ready for rebuild...
just put new mains, seals, reeds, and a ring, in the 06 bzm proddy engine i have here in my old DM chassis, that will be up for sale then as i got no intention todo proddy class, or maybe use it for indoor fun, but at the moment its going for sale lol...
Take it easy guys cya trackside soon...
how much would you be lookin for the proddy engine dar ?
yep he was out on the track
