All im Gonna say about the day was,
im so shamed to call it my home track!!!!

the way some of the staff at the track behaved was not on, you have 2 remember they might b going 60mph on a bike but at the end of the daythey r just kids and that is no way to speek to them, all i heard was shouting and balling from the boys working the pits and the way they were comeing across was just so agressive it would have put any one on the back foot.

I can c that pablo is trying his best to help us out but i think some people at the track have just got it in for us.they think they can do wot ever they like and you will back them no matter wot.#

I waswith debbie when the crash happend and all i can say is that lyn was way out of line, it would not have matterd who it was that started it or ended it or if it was a rider or track staff! it was just wrong and not nice to c.

I love to go raceing with the mmra and fab and cant stop telling every 1 that they have to come down to ours and race the track, but i wouldnt feel safe noe asking them 2..

gregg i hope ur okk babe, keep that bike upright next time lolxx but fair play it was some good raceing of every 1 and james plezzzSTAY ON THE BIKE at the
british!!

catch u all in 11 days time (not that im counting) lolxx mmcwales/p_braces.gif mmcwales/p_laugh.gif mmcwales/p_chewingum.gif

WOW, i red all what debbie said .. and me to are ashamed to call it my home track ... although i did see a guy get in a kart and drive somewere onit when we all had to stop? and befor when i tured up to a diffrent race day i asked lynn if it was on and she said no, so me and my dad packed up and went home £10 wasted on petrol when the trackday way ON! and i know that she has done this to someone eles ... i think llanow is in BIG trouble mmcwales/p_angry.gif

Debbie- 10-16-2007
Thanks for all your comments guys, its obvious that everyone has felt the same way about certain staff at this circuit for some time! We all have a great time at every other circuit we go to. (so it's not as if anyone can call us a bunch of troublemakers is it!!!)

I'd also like to make it clear that when i've been talking about Llandow I'm referring to Llandow Karting Circuit...and not the main race circuit. We were actually at the main circuit the weekend before for a Metrakit British Championship round. The circuit staff there ran a track day on the Friday before which was excellently organised. They called a riders briefing before allowing the kids out on track, so everyone was aware of circuit "protocol"and safety issues. When anyone took a spill all riders were protected from any further injury by swift action form the marshalls, and even though this is a much bigger circuit, all injuried riders were attended to very quickly indeed.
So it's a big THANK YOU to all involved on that side of the fence.

Nat, you also raised a valid point about the way the staff were shouting and balling at these little kids in the morning..... although I did not see this myself I've been told of an incident where a marshall was shouting at a little kid using foul language and threatening body language, and the lad's dad had to intervene.
And yes, I totally agree with you Nat.... thank goodness for the MMRA, Fab Racing and all the quality officials at the other circuits we go to who do a remarkable job. mmcwales/p_clap.gif

meecham- 10-16-2007
yea i agree with nat
in the british all the marshals have a breifing and the riders have a breifing before any1 goes on to the track
this is how it shud be done in my eyes
in the british they use a 5 second rule whic is very good
any news fom llanod debbie??
it just amazes me that we had people from the other side of the rack there before we did the marshall who was not even 10 ft away
how is this
??

Titch- 10-16-2007
its llandow rhys... thats all i have to say

Debbie- 10-16-2007
No, not heard from Paul yet. Did try to contact him in the office earlier, but no luck. Has anyone got another number for him ?
I'll give it till the end of the week, cos it's important that he has a chance to have his say, before I decide what to do next.
I agree with the guy who said that the marshalling was ok in the morning, as when I arrived about mid-day the only things upseting people seemed to be Lyn's general attitude and abusive language towards the kids from staff.
I know all of you riders out on track did all you could to help when fellow riders were injured, the point I was trying to make was that when another rider tried to help because no marshall help came........ they were slated for it!!
We were told catagorically that no first aid assistance would be given by track staff once someone unauthorised had attended an injured person.
But the longer any rider or bike lay on the track the higher the risk of a further incident. Which is why you guys tried to help........... had the marshalls acted swiftly there would not have been an issue.

i have read this forum and would just like to say, im new to the mini moto world of racing and i might be speaking out of line, but as a fully quailified WABA boxing coach i go though a very strict first aid course to me this means i am quailified to give first aid to anyone that needs it, but i was told that i was in no way to touch or check the boys on track that had had a accident which to me seams very stupid. I also got a telling off for having my bike running and kneeing on the seat whilst pushing it round to the pits and i qoute 'get of that f****** bike and switch the f****** thing off or i will kick you off the f****** track' which i did, now normally i would have took my helmet off and leathered the guy all round the pits but as i said im new to it and didnt want to rock the boat, but beware pit staff you just dont know who your talkin to and an ex boxer/coach doesnt like being spoken to like that and you just might get hurt talking to people in this way there is just no need for it its not big or clever. i hope that all you boys that got injured are ok and that you all make a speedy recovery and feel that llandow have let you all down.there are a few things that could have helped you out llandow ie:-

1, a race briefing
2, a leaflet showing wot flags mean wot given to all riders
3, more marshalls
4, maybe run two or three differnt cats ie beginners, novice, racers

all of these pionts i feel are relivant as you have got some learners on the track and the faster boys have no idea which way there going

as ive said i am new to this so sorry if i have spoken out of line but hey its only wot i think hope to see you all soon at a better run meating mmcwales/p_yes.gif

Bray- 10-17-2007
1 question for llandow

What are the marshals being payed to be there for?
If they are not there for trackside assistance you dont need to pay their wages. Am i wrong?

Hi there testpolit you make some very good points there and as for the way that you got spoke to sorry but nothink new there when there was the crash on the track there was only yellow flags put up in the end which only means slow down and one of them on the track was shouting f*****g stop your bikes and if all the marchells know first aid why was the one on the couner where the crash doing somthing apart from sticking his head in the sand and hopes it goes away thats why Luke was moved but as always you see it will all be our fult as the staff at the track are so highly trained they could run the country i bet

meecham- 10-17-2007
yea thye could run the country lol
noticed pablo has no comment yet maybe he hasnt been on
interesting to see what he has to say
as for the seperate seesion test pilot
good idea but tht is why in a way we are now trying o have our on day
still i hink we could try this

speedy1- 10-17-2007
Thought pablo would have made a relavant post by now or maybe there is no excuse from sundays events.

mmcwales/p_thinking.gif

dave- 10-17-2007
some god points made.. like a metting before we can go out about the 'protocall' and the track rules.. what the flags mean etc.. until this post i only new what a yellow flag was... an thats only becasue of t.v.... if i saw a red flag whilst racing i wouldnt have a clue what it ment and most likely of carried on an not stoped... in my opion llandow need to buck there ideas up big time... dont get me wrong it is an awesome track and does have the portential to be an awesome day out.

BRAD #3- 10-17-2007
i rekon they should put up somthing is the office and make you read it befor you ride and you sign a agreement that u have read it and agree with it and understand it, it would take two mins to make and save alot of time!
come on pablo we need to hear your say in this....

Titch- 10-17-2007
ye paul probs hasn't been on yet.

Debbie- 10-17-2007
Yes, a riders safety briefing should be mandatory on any circuit surely ??
How else are any newcomers to the event supposed to know what the "protocol" is ???

Everyone tried so hard to spread the word about the day, this meant coaxing quite a few first timers into giving it a go. As a result there were a number of riders on track with no clue as to safety guidlines on a race circuit .............. this was NOT their fault.

Other karting circuits we visit have very successful minimoto events, which I'm sure are very lucrative............ and with the turnout on Sunday it looked as if Llandow could start following suit ....... it'll be such a shame if Paul doesn't try to resolve this.

( he was on the forum last night.. just not replied yet ).
