anytime now waiting for a reply rolleyes.gif. 5 opportunities you could do

1) ignore what ive said, on the previous page and keep having the illusion your methods are working.

2) take in what ive said, scrap prebooking and let SWKC earn some money/customers.

3) Flip on us and run away, quiting with minimoto's

4) understand your mistakes, make more trackday bookings. If we didnt have any other amazing tracks to go to, it would take hours to scrape cobwebs off the bikes at the pace of your bookings on trackdays.

5) Or just ignore this and dont reply, to the customers views.

Morning Guy's.

1st and formost, I won't ignore what people say, but secondly I won't get drawn into an argument either.

There are some very good comments from SPEEDY 1 (James), Jazz, John etc, and i do take your comments on board, But,

You dont take our comments on board, and this is why it is not working.

Speedy, Your comment about; Try and see it from our point of view for future success at llandow, not dribble over little up front petty cash, when your not looking at the bigger picture for SWKC!

We are trying to look at the bigger picture for Mini-Moto's at SWKC, but the problem being is, We have bills to pay constantly, and we have taken chances on the Mini-Moto's before and not had prepaid riders and 3 or 4 times last year we had (end of 2006 as well) we had less than 10 riders, end of 2007 when we had a pre-booking day we had 25 riders, of which 14 had pre-paid and Speedy, we did not scrap the last pre-booked day, it was extended by 1 day to help make the numbers up.

I want the Mini-Moto's to have great days out at Llandow, so much so i was even going to work this Sunday myself, and remember Guy's, i dont get paid either for working there. I spent 7 hours there on the Mini-Moto track day and enjoyed it.

You are not looking at the bigger picture for SWKC either, James you commented about the Karters,
[QUOTE] llandow club is all The karts have a minimum of 15 heads by a certain date by the way?? [COLOR=blue]The truth is no, they dont have to have a minimum of 15 to pre-book, but also we run arrive and drive in with their time and they pay £45 to test. They also turn up when it rains. If you feel that they get a better deal than the Mini-Moto's, we can book you in as the same type of day that they have.

The only time they have the circuit to themselves is the 3rd weekend of the month when they pre-book and then they have a minimum of 50.

I do feel emporthy for the Mini-Moto's, John Crazer Carver, has been very loyal to the circuit over the past 5 or 6 years and i know a few others have as well, but i have tried to help, and not just make the 'T' as i do a good Hot Choc as well.

Julian booked the last test day for Mini-Moto's (GP), and paid up front for the day, and in the near future we are going to organise another day for him, and that will be posted soon.

I do read all the postings on here about Llandow (SWKC) and don't ignore them like some people think, but at the end of the day SWKC is a business and we have taken financial chance's with the Mini-Moto's before, and all we are asking is for 15 people to pre-book in advance by 1 week. I am a father of 2 boy's who have both raced karts, and have I ever had to pre-book for my son's to karting? Yes i have, and it is not as difficult as some of you make out, but it does make sure that there is some income coming in to pay the bills that just keep coming in whether you turn up or not. Plus you get an extra £5 discount for pre-booking.

If you remember Guy's the 6th was Mini-Moto's only from 10am till 1pm and 1.30pm till 4.30pm with no arrive and drive and no owner drivers.

That meant we had no income apart from Mini-Moto's, how do we pay the bills if only 8 or 10 turns up, as it takes approx 20 to 22 full paying riders for us to cover our costs for the day, and make no profit at all.

I have spent enough time on this now, so i think the next step is to organise a meeting with a few of you Guy's;

John, Mr Boo, Darren, Ty, James, Jazz, Debbie and more people as well if need be.

I don't care where the meeting is, it can be at the track if you want, at some 1's house, up the Valley's, Bristol, Bath, it don't make any difference to me as I want to get this sorted once and for all in a proper meeting where you can all say your points of view and SWKC can say their points of view as well, but the meeting won't be held on here.

I/We want this to work, do you the Mini-Moto's want it to work ????????????

If Yes organise a meeting date and place.

meetings have never worked before all hey have done is brought forward this pre booking rubbish
why not have a system when we have to have 15 people to pay £10 in advance this way ure making money and we only have to spend a minimum of £10 rather than a minimum of £30

Jazz_11- 01-05-2008
if there is a meeting organised i will try my best to be there ......

hi there paul, yes i understand where you coming from with the pre booking scheme. First problem im thinking of, you arnt making yourself/SWKC known, or advertising trackdays! There are few welsh riders, who are well known members/ riders on this site. I strongly suggest you visit minimoto club ( all of UK riders visit ). And make a welcoming/introduction topic, like when you first met us.

You seem to dump a post on here time and date and demands for a trackday, and expect us few riders who regualy check the site to advertise it for you. Doesnt sound like a good business plan to me??

Minimoto club

So please visit this site, make your introduction and possible trackday, making yourslef known like you first did with mmcw. English/scottish riders well know of llandow's poor reputation, so its a good chance for you to try and make a fresh start/ BUILD on the reputation of SWKC.

As for pre booking. Im asking one last chance for you. After you have made you introduction/ welcoming to llandow circuit, future trackdays. Make a trackday Mid febuary? (Plenty of notice) Could post in price times/lunch/ ending of the day ect. I think thi could be a winner?

Whilton mill a fine example last sunday 100+ riders turned up for the practice day. I think this option is worth a shot, as minimoto club doesnt have a clue who you are and how llandow is run these days. As for few years ago its was run very poor for minimoto's/ geared.

Let me know, and i can back you up on the big site. One more shot now, we got no more options.

well said james and i agree with u and i think everyone will agree with you... mmcw is a small amount of riders compared to minimoto club.....
Im sure people who are a few hours drive away wont mind traveling for, a good well run track, where they have come to do 1 thing and that is ride minimoto.....
i hope we can get this sorted because i enjoy riding at llandow and it is my local track....

cheers

Llandow could have made a good bit of money over the winter period, due to the new track being good in the wet, Whilton Mill is an awsome track but like Llandow use to be very slippery in the wet/damp.

Thats changed, its up to us "more so me" who goes to other forums and ask for suport to Llandow, trying to get peeps to go there, but do they want to travel to it, pre pay, weeks notice, cold sholder from staff, canceled, canceled, done this along time ago and thats what hit Llandow and got it a bad rep we got togeather over 40 riders to come and Llandow cancled with 2 days to go. ever since then we not had the suport of the English.

and us the minority of the Welsh strugle to get the numbers you ask for. You need to get the Word out there. You need to Promote the minimoto sceen at Llandow, You Need Win Some Loose some, to get Your Rep Back, as im sure once you got it stomped home Llandow is a Very Good Track For Minimotos.

Whlton Got it made its a Great Track in the heat of the minimoto sceen, and it still gets the turn out in the winter, but all know its a very hard track to ride on in wet/damp.

with Llandow in 2 rounds of the british champ MMRA in 2008 also, they will come to practice if they want to-do well they have to 2 rounds to miss is no good in championship, and all the practice they can get they will come.

Try booking out Llandow to minimoto riders in the heart of summer inbetween all the championships, do your home work check the forums find out whats going on try get a date in when u can, not double book like 2007 com-on.

just talking aloud, don't ban me from the track lmao...
