hi members just bought 2 chinese 49cc repsol honda replicas for a bit of fun first for me and my son, rode minimotos up at the nec motorcycle show and got hooked straight away. didnt want to spend big money right away just wanted to know if there is a novice class or if the bikes would withstand it plus is there anywhere near to merthyr that anyone knows for that is tidy to just go and play away from prying eyes one last thing if you race have you got to have your faring on the bike cos at the moment i removed the faring one so i could move the handle bars out and the main one not to smash the faring haha! thanks for all the tips you can give me.

Welcome to the sport guys . Just starting? I remember those days! you can never beat the first year experience of riding your bikes, been doing it 4 years now i think. Yes as the lads said Carew karting which is location- tenby is a excellent track for getting started on your bikes. And is perfect for practice through the winter, then you can show off in the summer! haha. More links are further down the site for the welsh tracks.
Good Luck James

Welcome to MMCW forum Bandit, i so wanted to get to the NEC this year but it didn't happen .
Local track for us Valleys folk is Llandow, but they not done any track days for a while now, the British MiniMoto Championship will hold its first round thier on 4/5 April - weekend, so hope to get a Fridays track day before that, and well worth the trip down that weekend to see how things are done, and how fast the race bike go.
Minimoto Racing, hully J1917 ov the M4. indoor track 10am - 6pm £20, is another good one for just having fun, was thier last night first time for me in a long time, and loved it, although i killed both bikes at the end of the night haha.
Other than that what the lads have said here, and looking in the track listings. hope you and your lad have some wicked fun, take it easy mukka unless your racing
