does it idle then cut out? or just bog and die when it goes below say 2500 rpm? if its the later you could have pinched your piston ring, just remove it some times can get it out whole, if not snap it out and use the snaped of bit as a leaver to remove the rest from the piston, clean up the piston with 240 grit wet and dry and wd40, slap a new ring in and you ready to go

also scrub up the barrel with wet and dry and wd40 should be no shiny surfaces

hope its the idle...
