| Thinking about trying to make something to fit to the tow bar bracket of the van, that way I can limit the amount of metalwork by not having to make the part that sits on the floor ( I'll probably do that later for the shed, but won't have to carry it around in the van). This way it should be steadier and under the cover of the bootlid anyway. Only downer (I can think of) is not being able to look down the chain line from behind to align the rear wheel. With an RT2 think I have to mount it off the frame bobbins near the rear of the frame so wouldn't be able to have the back end of the bike away from the van. As I lost a bobbin at Whilton last time I have thrown some old mountain bike nylon rollers on from a chain device. They have bearings in them now so actually roll if it hits the deck, anyone think this is a bad idea? May take longer to come to a stop but shouldn't wear out so quickly. Darren, watched your vid on the weekend with the super in your old bike, didn't seem to have clutch trouble then, looked well quick. I can see where I am taking different lines so will try some of yours next time. I think I'm trying to ride it like a geared bike, straighter on the brakes and turning in later (you know slow in fast out, but without the fast out bit). You and the others on the days are turning in earlier with more radius and holding the corner speed. My problem with that will be staying on the track on the exit! Cheers Scotty |
