Its Just aswell you didnt post this on mini moto club , lol , because if you did everyone would be complaining that your on the roads/public ground and i also dont agree with it ,but sure if you want to hurt your self or worse by riding roads or on public ground go ahead we wont stop you ,................. mmcwales/gark2.gif

jordan- 07-14-2008

Jazz_11- 07-14-2008
Gareth mmcwales/gayrepost.gif mmcwales/gayrepost.gif THE MUPPET johnston, as if i would really ride on a public road...
but thanks ayway, your opinion is appreciated. BUT AS USUAL ITS WORTH.......

SOD ALL!!!

for your info gareth mmcwales/gayrepost.gif johnston
its not public at all its on private land, where i am fully coverd by insurance...

its army barracks where i have GOT permission to ride... and we go every few weeks. the gates are locked so no vehicles are moving up or down so its just as safe as a track..
so there is no need for me to go onto public roads anyway..

dont comment on something u no nothing about...

Other than that i loved it........
titch wats wrong with short shifting mate...???
greg said it was good to do??

Titch- 07-15-2008
greg is standing next to me and he told u that u dont need to use the clutch going up the gears. he didn't say anything about short shifting but i dont matter anyway. i was just joking. but if u hold the revs a bit longer u might find that the bike is still accelerating. only some ties u were doing it other times it was good. but anyway i didn't mean nothing by it.

Jazz_11- 07-15-2008
No i no u didnt mean anything mate i am new to geared bikes so dont understand all these sayings lol i thought short shifting was not using clutch going up.???
so what do u mean by short shifting..?? biggrin.gif

the vid was taken at the start of the day, but towards the end i was holding the revs like u say i felt the difference it was like i was constantly in powerband lol..
im wondering wether to go up to whilton, i really want to but not sure if i should and maybe get on the track again before i start racing.

also titch ill ask u cuz u ridden metrakits, but is it fine to shift up 2 gears at once, so what i mean is pull the clutch in, nock the gear lever up twice, and let the clutch out..
i was watching motogp on tv and i noticed that for every gear they changed down, they pulled in and let the clutch out for one gear changed, and would do it twice if they were moving down 2 gears... i no the bikes are different by miles but just want to know if i am doing it the right way,.....

sorry if i sounded in a mood with my earlier post, titch...... its just Garet mmcwales/gayrepost.gif johnston comments on something he knows nothing about.... and it cheeses me off lol..
thanks 4 all the help mate,. mmcwales/p_thanx.gif mmcwales/p_thanx.gif mmcwales/p_thanx.gif

watever ,and if your gonna call me gay then say it to my face ,

Jazz_11- 07-15-2008
u must be mad if you think i am going over to ireland to call u gay, its a bit of a journey...
gareth yh i dnt want to argue on a forum, but DONT jump to conclusions assuming i was on public road... wen all you had to do is ask, is that private land or something like that, not assuming immediantly i was on public road. and saying if i want to hurt myself its up to me.... so i think there is reason for me to get angry but forget it now.... just dont do it again cuz it cheeses people off.
cheers

SAY IT TO MY FACE......... L M A O

johnson calm down put those roids away laugh.gif Nice jazz, titch is right though you need to take it higher up the rev range before changing gear without using the clutch you'll get used to doing that in no time, you going to whilton?

Jazz_11- 07-18-2008
no mate i have broken my finger in3 places and to top it off i had to hve an operation n it so i wasnt happy.
should be at lydd tho, if not will deffinatly be at nps llandow in august.
looking forward racing tho. just hoping i can get out one or 2more times before i do..
anyone got any more tips for me tongue.gif
i need ALL the help i can get bfore i race lol

mrboo- 07-23-2008
Go on Jazz, well said about the riding on roads from Garethe mmcwales/gayrepost.gif Johnson, lol You could see it wasnt on public roads, no road signs for a start! I guess there was gravel on that last bend before the roundabout by the way you pussied out through it, lmao, only joking dude! hehe mmcwales/p_laugh.gif glad to see your practicing on it before you get straight out to race.

It looks to me on the moto gp bikes that they let the clutch out between dropping gears probably to straiten out the rear wheel via the engine, Doesnt it feel wierd when you free wheel on a big bike??

scotty4321- 07-23-2008
Pretty sure the only time you see people short shifting is in very long corners when the bike is cranked over and you dont want to put full power down.
Check out Donnington between Redgate and Craner curves and everyone does it. A long right hander which then goes down hill, so revs pick back up pretty quick anyway. If its not leant right over just cane it through the gears! Cheers Scotty

Jazz_11- 07-23-2008
thanks for that both biggrin.gif
i absaloutly love the thing, and cant wait to race.....
i should be out again before i race, so will get some more praccy:D

You gunna do NPS round at Llandow Jazz? Think you`d get put into the Pitbike class if you do! Still track time though!

Off topic now, Whilst in Italy last week I noticed they ride Metrakits on the road, i saw a red one being riden around with a fat DERBY sticker down both side, it had indicators and a headlights, wish i`d got a pic of it now! It sounded well quiet compared to the race bikes!
